Vehicles in the Park – Ordinance No. 1218
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR BICYCLES AND HUMAN POWERED VEHICLES ON PAVED WALKS. MOTORIZED VEHICLES PROHIBITED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EASTBOROUGH, KANSAS:
Section 1.
A person operating a bicycle or other human powered vehicle upon a paved walk, or across a roadway upon a crosswalk, shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian and shall give an audible signal before overtaking and passing such pedestrian.
Section 2.
A person operating a vehicle by human power upon a paved walk or across a roadway upon a crosswalk, shall have all rights and duties applicable to a pedestrian under the same circumstances.
Section 3.
A person operating a bicycle or other human powered vehicle upon a paved walk or across a roadway upon a crosswalk shall at all times ride at a speed that is reasonable and safe under all the circumstances.
Section 4.
Vehicles with motor power are prohibited in parks.
Section 5.
Skateboards are prohibited in parks.
